This site is centered on the Nathaniel Meek and his family. Nathaniel lived in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and Indiana. His birth date is unknown but he died in Pulaski County, Kentucky in 1827. Nathaniel Meek's wife's name is also unknown but his children were: Nathan Meek Jr. b.1775-1781, Samuel Meek b.1784, Jeremiah Meek b. 1775-1783, David Meek b. 1780-1790, William Meek b.1788, Richard b.1801, Lewis b. 1800, Mary "Polly" b. 1781-1785, Priscilla Meek b. 1781, Elizabeth and Sarah. This site will also include research on John Childs and his family. John Childs was born in Kentucky in 1803 and he died in Jennings County, Indiana in 1873. John Childs was born John S. Meek but changed his name to Childs in 1833. John Childs was associated with the Nathaniel Meek family and is probably a family member but at this time it has not been proven. |
