The Chico (Csako)/Kahr Family Home Page

I am researching the Kahr Family (on my Mother's side) from Austria Hungary. My GreatGrandparents, Roman Catholics, were Karoly(Charles) Kahr and Barbara Boglitch. They were married on May 4, 1879. She was 22 and resided in Vashegy. He was from Alsoszolnoz. ( Karoly's parents were Mathias Kahr and Apollonia Krikler. They had six children), Mathias,b.12/3/1840;Jozsef,b.5/19/1845;Terezia,b.1/12/1848;Julianna,b.1/19/1850;Joannes,b.8/11/1854;Carolus(Karoly)aka Charles,b.9/26/1857(my ggf)). Charles and Barbara (Boglitch);(my greatgrandparents) had seven children,Emilia,b.11/8/1880;Charles,b.1/22/1886;Josephine,b.11/23/1892;John,b.1/24/1895;Mary,b.?;Anne,b.?and Joseph J.,b.2/27/1899 ( my Grandfather). Joseph J. Kahr and Mary Elizabeth Malloy were my Grandparents. They resided in West View, a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Additionally, I am researching the Chico (Csako) Family ( on my Father's side)also from Austria Hungary. John Csako,b.4/10/1850 in Szemple-Mege,Austria Hungary married Maria Prascsak,b.9/23/1854 in Veke, Austria Hungary. They had six children;John,William,Alexander,Elizabeth,Julia and Velma. My GreatGranfather was John,b.9/8/1877 in San Maria,Szempl Mege,Austria Hungary. He married Maria Megyesi,b.,12/18/1873 in Szonachi,Szempl Mege,Austria Hungary. They were married on December 5, 1898. They had eight children, Amelia(Mollie),b.4/9/1898;John,b.9/26/1899 (my Grandfather),Margaret,b.10/12/1903,Mary Anna & Hazel Alice b.11/21/1905;Rose,b.9/12/1908; and Earl Albert,b.10/30/1911. My Grandfather was John. He married Barbara Kukoro from Budapest,Hungary. They married on April 14, 1925 in Allegheny County,McKeesport,Pennsylvania. Their only child,a son; also named John,b.6/26/1927 is my father.

Any information on either of these families would be appreciated. I am also willing to share information and provide copies of documents and photographs that I have.
