The Byles, Pickett and Rose Families

I am currently researching my family in as many different directions as possible. It is such an interesting process and most definitely addicting!! You meet via email, and forum postings, so many helpful people. I will add to the listings as I progress, which seems to go very slowly most of the time.

My mother's maiden name was Pickett. Currently we have traced back fifteen generations to William Pickett that came over from England. I am, also, in the process of surveying the "Westview Cemetery" in Jacksonville, Florida. This cemetery is more commonly known as Pickett Cemetery.

My father was adopted but his biological family on his mother's side were Rose's. His grandfather was Thomas W. Rose, a corporal in the Civil War and Captain in the Spanish American War.
