we are seeking information concerning the ancestors & decendants of John Chirnside who was born at Berwick-on-Tweed, Scotland on February 17, 1839. He emigrated to America in 1865, married Ellen Lowry in February 1867 at Chicago, Illinois. they moved westward & homesteaded on Section 21-4-3, Gibson Precinct, Jefferson County, Nebraska. We are interested in obtaining any and all information on the surname of CHIRNSIDE. On my mothers side we are searching for the ancestors of Charles Albert Powell, born in Callaway County, Missouri in 1877 & his wife Clara Price Rice.
