I have been collecting data on the Chmelka family in support of a historical novel I have been writing. This book loosely follows the Chmelka family throughout history to present times. My current data goes back to Moravia in the Czech Republic to the mid-1600's. My great-great grandfather, Matej Chmelka, immigrated to Nebraska in 1871. My book focuses on the motivations of immigrants coming to America. I would appreciate any data you may have on the Chmelka family and I would be happy to share the data I have collected. I currently have over 1300 names in my Family Tree program and have contributed this data to the World Family Tree Project. |
