51. 1841 Barga Census, I previously did not have his name, but he is listed as age 31 living with his father Francesco and the rest of the family. He was single at the time. If he was 31 in 1841 then he was born about 1809. However, next reference lists his birth year as 1820 which would mean he was 21 in 1841.Subsequent reference from Bruno Caproni lists his birth date as Sept 1816, with his mother dying on Sept 20, 1816. This seems most correct, then, and that he was 25 in 1841 census.

LDS microfilm 1796552 for Barga, Italy Marriages 1879-1893, 1885 Item 3, This gives notification that marriage banns were posted on successive sundays after Feb 1, 1885. date at bottom was May 5, 1885 which is probably close to marriage date. It says: That on the first Sunday of the month of February of the year 1885, there was published on the door of this Communal House the wedding notice that agrees to the contract between: Pietro Castelvecchi (father: Luigi; mother Maria Nardi), age 41, profession: Colono, living in Barga to Assunta DaPrato (father: Giovanni; mother: Marianna Ghiloni) age 23. That the publication remained continuously affixed from that day until the succeeding Sunday on which was executed the second publication and that it also remained continuously affixed on all those Sundays and the days succeeding it, without any opposition being given. Appended on the next sheets on the microfilm are handwritten notices as to Pietro's birth record with date Mar 23, 1843, and Assunta's birth record as Dec 25, 1861; Date of marriage confirmed by Bruno Caproni.

Birth date shown as separate notice in LSD marriage films. That image is shown on the next source. Interestingly Bruno Caproni gives birth as Dec 14, 1861. I decided to use Dec 16. Baptism was on Dec 17 but I couldn't read the birth date from that record.
