Johann"Gottlieb"*Sigwart/Siegwart and 3. Magdalena*Braun. She married (1) NunleyHughes December 20, 1911 in Michigan. He was born September 30, 1888 in Brookfield Twp., Huron Co., Michigan, and died April 12, 1969 in Hazel Park, Michigan. He was the son of Richard Hughes III and Annabelle McKenzie.

1997- Moms cousin Frank Siegwart has told me that Pauline was the 2nd or 3rd cousin of Eva Braun (Hitlers girlfriend).
Stories from cousin Eileen Schmaus say that Pauline completed the highest level of school she could, and that she was a certified teacher, and taught the German-Jewish immigrant children to speak English. Also that she continued teaching until Aunt Elizabeth was born in 1918.
Margie Shaw, daughter of Pauline's sister Laura, said that they loved going out to Grandma and Grandpa's. Grandma would cook delicious large meals for the entire family, and the adults would eat in the dining room, and the children in the kitchen, and then the children (girls) had to do the dishes. The children would play in the barn, and Margie and mom would often sneak and get into Aunt Delma's make-up. They would catch heck for that, but Margie said they had so much fun doing it, it was worth getting into trouble. When they moved to the town of Owendale, Margie says the first time she visited she remembers all of the children having a game of tag football, and that this was one of the happiest days of her childhood. She said the adults let them play until well after it was dark out. After Grandpa & Grandma moved to Hazel Park, Margie came to visit and stay with mom in the summer. Margie, got very very homesick, and she says that she doesn't know how her "Uncle Doc", put up with her whining and crying.
