Hi! My name is Wendy Chouteau Bommer. I am researching the Chouteau-Pruitt connection. I have some information which may be helpful but need more. If you've reached this page and believe that you have helpful information, please contact me. My Great-grandfather was William David Chouteau and he married Daisy Irene Pruitt. William was an orphan who migrated from St. Louis. Supposedly, the orphanage that he came from was burned and records do not exist about him other than word of mouth. Daisy was born:November 5, 1878 in Washington D.C. and died June 4, 1962. William was born August 19, 1883 and died Janurary 15, 1974. Daisy was married to James Murray prior to my grandfather. Her parents were Norman Pruitt and Rose (Margaret Rozelia) Murray. I have more but am searching for others. Our family will host a Chouteau family reunion on June 1, 1997 in Cincinnati at a local park. Thanks for your attention! Wendy |
