The Coles of Cooper County Missouri arrived there in about 1870. They came from Indiana, through Illinois. Thomas Cole married Lucille Roach of Kearny, MO and raised their family of 5 boys and 1 girl in and around Kansas City and Mexico, MO.
One of their sons married Leta Durham of Mexico, MO. Her parents were from Pike County, IL. I am searching for the ancestors of these people. I am particularly interested in finding out more about the Roaches. Lucille Roach's father reportedly had several brothers. I have found two of them, George, Lucille's father, Lewis and William. I understand some of these boys fought in the civil war. William was a reported vetran of the civil war and died at an old age in Excelsior Springs, MO.
