The main researchers of the BUCKNAM/BUCKMAN Genealogy edited by Chaplin were Joan (Peg) Buckman, Rose Buckman Morrison, and especially Betina Buckman who published the book at Snackerty Press in 1989. MELCHIOR BRENNEMAN, the Exile b. c1631. Early information on this family is from Gerberich's "The Breneman History" and Charles D. Breneman's "Descendants of Abraham Breneman". I descend from Peter, Jr. who moved his family to Poweshiek County, Iowa after the Civil War.

PETER NUFER came to the US from Ringgenberg, Switzerland in 1888. He married Ann Elizabeth Snow in Astoria, Oregon. I know a little about his parents and can share about his descendants.
ALEXANDER PATTERSON was born 15 May 1811 in County Down, Ireland but was raised in Scotland. He immigrated to Columbiana County, Ohio in 1833 and married MARY ANNE McLANE. In 1856 he moved to Geary City, Kansas.

EMIL ROSCH, son of WILLIAM, was born in Prussia 21 April 1831. He was in Dubuque County, Iowa by 1864 when he married ELIZABETH 'ELISE' SADLER. Elise was born in Luxembourg 7 July 1841. They moved from Dubuque to Clinton County, Iowa and then by 1869 to Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie, Iowa.
NICHOLAS SADLER c.1796 and his wife ANNA KATHRINA c. 1796 were the parents of Elizabeth 'Elise', Theodore and John. They were all born in Luxemburg and died in Iowa.
WILLIAM JOHN SNOW was born about 1850 in Newington, Surrey, England. He married HANNAH SCHOFIELD around 1867. She was born 21 May 1851, the daughter of WILLIAM HENRY and ANN (COPE) SCHOFIELD.
JACOB ZOLLER was born 18 May 1851 in Germany, he was in Iowa before 1880. He married JOSEPHINE NELSEN, born 19 March 1860 daughter of S. M. and Lotta (Johnson) Nelsen. Their children were GEORGE W., SADIE A., ANNIE, FRED A., and FRANK, all born in Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie, Iowa. Jacob owned and operated J. Zoller and Company, a grocery and hardware store in Council Bluffs.
