Find Family
In 1994 I published a book - Sowing the Seeds of Time: A History of the Jefferson Family in the Parishes of Lythe and Hinderwell in the North Riding of Yorkshire 1631-1994 ISBN 0-9641758-1-9

Some of the Jefferson-related families mentioned in the book are: Bullock, Calvert, Dobson, Dunning, Hutchinson, Robinson, Race, Rudsdale, Sedman, Seymour, Theaker, Toase, Tyerman, Verrill and Ward. Unfortunately, the book has been out of print for many years although occasionally it does appear on various book web sites.

Due to continuing demand, however, I have commenced writing a new book which encompasses much of the information in Sowing the Seeds of Time plus the addition of new research. This second book will have the title: Through the Mists of Time: A History of the Jefferson Family from the North and East Ridings of Yorkshire. Dating from the late 1500s it covers not only the Jeffersons who remained in Yorkshire but those who, from the early 1800s onwards, migrated to the USA, Canada and Australia. New families added are: Beech, Eskritt, Madill, Petch, Sired, Tate and many more.

As I continue with my research and writing I realize there is a vast amount of text, charts, photos and maps - way too much for one book and therefore I have decided to take out the Seymours and their related families and publish a separate book for them. I anticipate Through the Mists of Time to be completed by 2012 and the Seymour book some time later.

Please check this page regularly for updates and in the meantime please feel free to email me in regards to any of the names mentioned above.

Thank you for visiting my page.

Kind regards,
Barbara
