| Bert Christy is researching the following family names: Christy, Thomas, Sims, Anderson. They lived in north Georgia in Union, Hall, Lumpkin, and White counties. We believe they came to Georgia from North and South Carolina. The Christy's came sometime between 1850 and 1870. We haven't done enough on the other names to know when they arrived in Georgia.Betty Garlington Christy is researching Garlington(VA, GA, AL),Rodgers(AL, GA), Trimble(AL), Couch(VA, KY), Coffman(KY), Tapp(KY, VA), Winstead(VA, KY), Root(CT, MA, AL, KY). Root and Garlington lines go back to the 1600's.We only started in genealogy a year ago, but are having fun. We would be glad to share information. |
