I am researching several families at this time. Most recently helping my aunt with her families: Midgley, Bowie, Bourassa and Weber. The Midgley's are from Lapeer Co., MI area. The Bowie's came to the US. from Montreal, Canada. Settled into N.H. and Vermont then on into Detroit, MI. We have not had good luck with the Weber and Bourassa search. Joseph F. Weber may have come from Canada and settled into Detroit, MI. His wife, Julia Bourassa was born in Escorse, MI in 1875. We need to find their parents' names and siblings. I would appreciate any help/contribution to any of the names listed above. It has been fun and interesting in researching these families for my aunt. My other lines are Winstead from Rogersville, TN around the Devil's Nose area. Other names are Scarbrough, McLeod, Jones, Shanks and Christian. I would appreciate any help, contacts on the above names. You can always find me on the computer. Update: During a visit to Detroit, MI in August, 2002, I was able to new information on the Weber and Bourassa family. New information has been updated as of Sept. 2002 |
