I have researched the Henrik Nygaard family as far back as Thisted, Denmark and have a picture of the home farm located near that city. Henrik married Maren Lauritzen November 3, 1865. We do not know where she was from but her parents were Lauritz Peterson and Katrine Norkman. I have also researched the Christian Firgens family. His wife, Albertina Augusta Gobel, born in 1832 in Dederdorf, Germany immigrated to the USA in 1886 with 4 of her 9 children. We have a picture we believe is Christian & Albertina taken in Germany. They appear older so we assume it is from sometime around 1880.
