I am just beginning research on these families, and welcome contact from anyone who desires to do so. The family that I have researched the most thus far is the MILLER family originating with Martin (or Hugh) and Wife Priscilla Miller, from England or Scotland in the late 1500's. This line is completed down to the Miller's of the Annsville, New York area. However, I have come across some contradictory information in that line that needs clarification. I am also seeking clarification of the relationship of Eliakim Miller to this line. He was a Revolutionary War soldier in the Conn. Militia.
The CHRISTENSEN family is relatively new to the United States, starting with Bernard B. Christensen of Bergen, Norway, and Ida Johnson of Sweden. After immigrating, Bernard was in the US Navy. They settled in Brooklyn and died about 1954 and 1965 respectively.
During this century, Bernard's son Howard B. Christensen married Mabel WADE, also of Brooklyn. I don't know much about the WADE's other than they were of English descent.
The CHIPMAN family lived in Bar Harbor, MA, and later moved to Bucksport, ME, before finally settling in Brooklyn early this century. Again, I don't know much about them yet, but am told that they were Pilgrims, originated in Scotland, and descended from John Chipman of Plymouth Colony.
