The Christian Family has researched the genealogy's of a number of related families and published the information in Family Tree Makers online geneology database. The primary family tree's we are interested in include the Christian's, Morris's, Merritt's, Haff's, Strang's, and Whitman's. However there is one ancestor whom we have not been able to find any information about. This is Mary Elizabeth Morris who was married to Nathaniel Tucker Merrit. Mary Morris was born in Orange Co., New York on April 16, 1820. She was married in Newburgh NY on August 30, 1837 and died in Freeland MI on September 26, 1899. Her husband Nathaniel Merrit was born in Newburgh NY on April 29, 1813 and died in Saginaw MI on January 13, 1878. We know Nathaniel Merritt's parents and family tree, but we do not know Mary Elisabeth Morris's parents or any of her ancestors. We are very interested in anyone who knows any of Mary Elisabeth Morris's family history and would like them to contact us. We have added a report of Mary and Nathaniel's decendants for two generations in case someone has traced their ancestors to one of Mary and Nathaniel's decendants and may also have traced Mary Elisabeth Morris's ancestors.
