I am interested in researching every root of my lineage at least to the place of residence prior to emigration to the United States. I have quite a lot of information for several line of my ancestors, but the CHRISTENSEN line eludes me. Altough I know my g.g.-grandparents, Nels and Annasteen K. (Beck; possibly Ane Kirstine Kyllesbeck??) CHRISTENSEN came to Wisconsin in about 1866, I don't know what in what part of Denmark they lived or anything else prior. The may have traveled with all their children (Mansteina, Johanna, Hans Christian, Fred, and Charles Nels), but it is also possible that Charles Nels (my g.-grandfather) was not yet born. They settled in Waupaca county, Wisconsin, and farmed potatoes. Their oldest daughter married an Anderson and possibly moved to Minnesota, may have had a son named Clarence. Johanna married Jens P. RASMUSSEN and had several girls. Nels died in 1884 and Annasteen in 1908, both are buried near Waupaca. My g.-grandfather, Charles Nels CHRISTENSEN, married Nellie Marie BARKER and they had 13 children. The second youngest, Earl Marion CHRISTENSEN, was my grandfather (1910-1994). Other surnames of interest to me are: (paternal) SCMIDT, SCHUCHARDT, JUNG, BURBACH, KAISER, GREEN; and (maternal) FROST, MCCONNELL, TANNER, BROVALD, STEVENS, LEE, VINGUM, BALDWIN, COATS, CRANE, SWIFT, HALL, and DOWNS.
