I am researching several Wisconsin families:
Johannes CHRISTENSEN (John Christenson) 1842-1916, who was born at Tollersruden, Faaberg, Norway. He, and his brother, Ole, left Norway in 1869, along with Eline Olsdatter, 1847-1939.
The GASMANN family, who are descended from the Telemark brothers, Hans Jacob Gasmann, 1787-1857, and Johan Gottfried Gasmann, 1796-1878. They were born in Gjerpin Parish, Skien, Norway. Hans was a member of the Norwegian Parliament. Johan was the builder and Captain of the bark "Salvator," bringing Hans and his family of 15 to America in 1843.
The SMITH family who descended from Caspar Schmidt, 1820-1895, who came from Volkershauen, Bavaria.
The CZESKLEBA family who descended from Theodore Wilhelm Czeskleba, 1840-1926, who came from East Prussia.
