I started my Family Research because I wanted to find my Father, George E. Miller's Family. George was killed in World War II ten days before the War ended. My Mother, Evelyn Miller, was waiting for him to come home. He was suppose to be home in two weeks! She was looking forward to stating a life with her Husband, whom she loved dearly, and her daughter, Karen! She reeived a telegram telling her of his death! I brought it in from the mailbox. I remeber it like yesterday! It was very hard on my Mother! When my Father died part of her died with him and she could or would never talk about him. My Mother never stayed in contact with his Family. It was like a "Closed Book" for her. He came from Dwight, Illinois! So the more I thought about my Dad the more I wanted to find his Family! So the search began! |
