Includes NotesNotes for Decon Stephen Hart:
Deacon Hart was a farmer and large land-holder, located in the village of Farmington, Connecticut and was a man of great influence, and a leading character. He was one of the fifty-four settlers at Cambridge, Mass., was a proprietor at Hartford, Connecticut in 1639, and became one of the eighty-four proprietors of Farmington, Connecticut in 1672. Stephen Hart was born in England in 1605. He is considered a main settler of Connecticut. He was a Deacon and studied under Rev Thomas Hooker. The Harts and the Hookers were very instrumental in the settlement of Farmington Connecticut. I can't find anything on his wife.

He had four children. One of his daughters, Mary Hart, married a man named John Lee. Several generations through this line, William Lee, Great Great Grandfather of Dad's was born. William Lee, married Mary Hart, a descendant of Stephen Hart's son, John Hart. That meant that William and Mary Hart Lee had the same Great Great Great Grandfather, Deacon Stephen Hart.
