I am researching the Buckner Family from Boston Mass. USA. My Great Great Grand father James Buckner was born in Scotland and married Margery McPherson on the 31/7/1840 at St. Nicholas, Aberdeen Scotland. They migrated to Boston Mass. USA in 1855. I am unable to find if they had any children that came to America with them. My Great Grand father George Milton Buckner was their son. He was also born in Boston Mass. on the 20th February 1858 and died on the 7th June, 1926 in Boston. He married a Agnes McCann on the 2nd November, 1879 at Hotham Melbourne Victoria Australia. They had 4 children James Milton Buckner born 1881 Melbourne victoria Australia and died in Hong Kong unmarried. (2) Edward Francis Buckner born 1882 who married Katherine Mary Nelson in Melbourne Victoria Australia. (3) Agnes Buckner who never married and was adopted by her mothers sister who married a Moloney. (4) Annie Buckner who died as a infant. So the only line of Buckners in Australia that relate back to James Buckner and Margery McPherson are those from my grandfather Edward Francis Buckner. George Milton Buckner and Agnes McCann seperated and George Milton Buckner returned to Boston Mass where he lived with his niece until he died in 1926.
