I am researching the families of Pearlie Emma Elliott and Robert Marshall Lynn who were married on December 20, 1920 in Harwinton, Connecticut.
Pearlie was born in Harwinton, Connecticut on November 11, 1897. Her grandfather, Alexander Elliott, was an Advent minister who journeyed from Canada to settle in Harwinton. Some sources indicate that Alexander was born in Scotland. Alexander's parents were Moses Elliott and Ellen McClellan.
Robert was born September 30, 1880 in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania and was employed by William McConway of Pittsburgh as a chauffeur. McConway spent summers on his property in Harwinton and this is where Pearlie and Robert met. Robert's parents were William Lynn and Mary Meyers(Myers). It is believed that Robert had a twin brother who later relocated to Indiana.
I have been able to research many branches of the family, but have not been able to locate any additional information on the Elliotts or Lynns. Any information you have would be greatly appreciated.
