| I am researching the George S. KING b 1820 VA, and John JOHNSTON b. 1757 Culpepper Co., VA family lines. KING family Eldest Ancestor is: George S. (or W.) KING, b 1820 VA, d. abt 1881 Anderson Co., KS. The KING family lived in OH, moved to Jennings Co., IN abt 1838, and in 1857 moved to Anderson Co., KS. By 1883, the KING's moved to Montgomery Co., KS on the SE OKLA border. JOHNSTON family Eldest Ancestor is: John JOHNSTON b 1757 Culpepper Co., VA, d. Aug, 1832 Henry Co., KY. John Johnston served VA Militia-Rev. War, and this line has been certified by the DAR. John moved to Henry Co., KY abt 1800. His son "Jack" lived in Owen Co., KY until 1844. Grandsons John Henry b 1821 d. 1851 IN, and Charles Dewitt Johnston b 1820, moved to Putnam Co., IN abt 1838. Charles D. lived in Richland Co., ILL until 1901. Assoc.
