I am researching my Price and Waggoner family lines. The families lived originally in Hart County, Kentucky. FOr unknown reasons the Price line migrated to Macoupin COunty, Illinois in the late 1840's. The patriarch of the family, Meridy (or Meridith) Price died in Macoupin County in August 1850. Though only speculation it is believed that after his death the family left Illinois and returned to Hart County, Kentucky. His son, William H. Price, (my great-great grandfather) eventually enlisted in the Civil War on the Union side in October 1861, fighting for the Kentucky Cavalry. After his stint in the service he married Sarah T. Waggoner and they moved to Menard County, Illinois. They moved and then settled in Will County, Illinois. The Waggoner patriarch was Joseph C. Waggoner. As far as my research can tell he migrated only within Kentucky. He was married to Nancy Kind. they are buried in Timberlake Cemetery, Hart County, Kentucky.
