Find Family

This page is devoted to information and inquiries for the descendents of the following three families and other related names.

1. John Lea (German), b. 1848, Germany, m. 1873, Saginaw, MI, to Mary Louise Schneider, b. Canada, 1856.
Lea is primarily an English name, however, there are German Lea's listed in the LDS IGI and also in the German phone directory, so it is also a German name. John came to the US circa 1860's and settled in Saginaw, MI. He was accompanied by 3 brothers, their names are unknown. Where they settled is also unknown. I am primarily seeking descendents of these brothers. I have reason to believe the family may have originated in Posen (now Poland).

2. Vincent Dashner (Sr.) b. ~1803, Ottawa, Ca., m. Margaret LaTour, b.~ 1806, Ottawa, Ca.

3. Dominic Lafeuillade (Lafayette), Sr., b. 1805, Ontario, Ca, m. July 1831, Ontario, Ca. to Genevieve Meloche, b. 1808, Ontario, Ca.

There are also many other related names, primarily many French names from the early settlers of the Detroit River region.
Other names include Antaya, Bergeron, Bluem (German), Campau, Caron, Chauvin, Cummiford, Deschamps, Fafard, Hunault, Labeau, Lemelin, Meyer (German), Mouflet, Patterson, Peltier/Pellitier, Schmidt/Smith (German), Schneider (German).
