* The Five Brothers Clay and Associated Families Home Page*

Updated July 2, 2003

Much of the research herein has been through the use of the 1790 - 1930 Census, family records, Civil War records, photos, old correspondence and other related research items shared by many cousins. The research on this family and associated families is ongoing and a work in progress. Once you have gone through the information and any corrections, deletions or additions are needed, please contact the author. The necessary source or documentation should be included. I know there are many cousins out there just waiting to be found. This home page may lead them to us.

In the preface of the Funeral Book for my great-grandfather , George Brummett is something that struck me as to what we are about. It goes like this...

If life is sacred it should not be allowed to perish. True, The body will return to the dust from whence it came but the rememberance of the life should continue. Someone has said :We are not dead until we are forgotten." As a last tribute to our Loved Ones we have compiled the following data in the hope that their precious life shall ever live in the oncoming generations of our family.
