Ephraim Frazee born in Scotland about 1640-45, was the immigrant ancestor of the American Frazees. He founded Elizabethtown, New Jersey. Robert Fraser or Frazee, a grandson, came out west and married Emma Chienne, Pierre Chienne's half-Crow daughter, in early 1860. ... Author's Note: Robert took Emma Chienne as his wife, daughter of Pierre Chienne and Bear In The Woods. She was half Crow and half French. According to Tribal Historian, Joseph Medicine Crow, Robert was Scottish. At an unknown date he went north into Canada, took another Indian wife and had children. That family went by the name Left Hand because Robert was left handed. When he returned to MT and tried to reclaim his Crow family to take them to Canada, he was chased away by Emma's family and clan members. Many years later, her daughter Lizzie Yellowtail went to visit her half brother in Canada according to a family story. I remember one summer at Crow Fair in the 1970's, a family from Canada visited Amy (Yellowtail) WhitemanRunsHim's campsite. They were said to be relatives of her mother.
