The Umfleet-Clark Family Home Page

I am currently in the beginning of my research of the UMFLEET family from Richland County, Illinios. Pleasant Umfleet is my great-great grandfather and was born in 1835 in Lawrence County, Illinois only miles from Richland County. He married Amercia E. Henry of Richland County, Illinois.
They had 12 children that I am aware of at this point. Those names include Mary Jane Umfleet, born September 14, 1869; Nicklous Jefferson Umfleet, born November 17, 1871; Charles William Umfleet, born May 3, 1874; Margaret Eveline Umfleet, born February 15, 1877; Nellie May Umfleet, born August 8, 1878; Sarah Ellen Umfleet, born October 3, 1879; Hattie Bell Umfleet, born March 22, 1882; John Thomas Umfleet, born July 9, 1895; Ella Umfleet, birth date unknown at this time; William Umfleet, born 1871; Carrie Umfleet, born September 17, 1892; and lastly George W. Umfleet, born July 19, 1885.

In all, I have about 8 generations of Umfleets included on my home page.

I also have 19 generations of the FARQUHAR family. I am the 18th great-grandaughter of Robert Farquhar who was born in Braes of Mar Scotland (exact dates are unknown to me at this time).

Other names that I am currently researching include:
Clark, Taylor, Dowty, Doan, and Farquhar all of which have descendants in the southern Illinois area.
