Miss Ellie's Family Home Page
Between the mid-1600's and the mid-1700's my ancestors came to these shores. Among those who came are colonial Indian fighters, colonial officials, Revolutionary War Veterans, War of 1812 veterans, and, here and there, a ne're-do-well. The objective in beginning research of the family was to ultimately find the immigrant ancestor on each major line of research. Now, after 20 years of research, I still haven't found all of the immigrant ancestors, but I have found so much more. Contemporary cousins have been found; numerous and priceless friendships have been made; insights as to why our family values are as they are; the hardships that the ancestors endured have taught me that we are of survivor stock. The names researched are more numerous now than when I began. A few of the major lines I am researching include: Alley, Sawyer, Bonner, Dillard, Wilson, Forehand, Bonner, Baker, Hancock, Scallorn, Taylor, Purcell, Smalley, Liggett, Winters, Beall, and all lines related to these families. As you browse through this site, above all, enjoy. I am always willing to share what I have and very much appreciate any information that you may have. Contact me --- and let's get acquainted. You may have that one elusive piece of the genealogy puzzle that will lead me to one more immigrant ancestor. I will be delighted to hear from you | Miss Ellie's Family Home Page Updated September 30, 2004 |
