I am researching the following families:

CLAGUE, CUBBON, BERRY, EVANS, NEFF, RIGGS, SWEGER, BRADLEY, FORT, McCHESNEY,
BAXTER, DeGROAT(DeGROOT), BOWLING, SMITH, WILLIAMSON, DAVIS, MURRAY, PEDIGO.

William (born 1789)& Isabella Clague (born 1792), Isle of Man residents had numerous children.

Pages 1 & 2 of a 13 page 1865 Isle of Man guardianship are included for info ascertaining that Wm. & Isabella were parents of Thomas Clague.

The ones named Thomas Clague(1811-1860)& Anna CUBBON(1818-1873 had Wm CLAGUE(1852-1926)b.in ARBORY, Isle of Man. Wm. migrated to Warren Co, Ill. in 1871, married Mary E. EVANS in 1876, had 7 children & resided there the remainder of their lives. Mary (1857-1943) b. to James A. EVANS & Lucy C. FORT. They had 8 other children. James A. EVANS (1821-1875) was b. in Va., moved to Ohio, Ind. & lastly to Warren Co. Ill. In 1844 he wed Lucy C. FORT (1827-1897), daughter of George W. FORT & Elizabeth McCHESNEY.

Jesse B. BERRY (1800-1866) b. in VA. migrated to Pickaway Co, Ohio, married Catherine McFADDON (1821-1888) in 1837 & had 10 children living in Parke Co, IND. from 1846 til Jesse BERRY's death. Catherine remarried Jefferson USSLEMAN a wagon maker in Parke Co til passing. A son Jeremiah C. BERRY (1842-1916) served in the Civil War, migrated to Kirkwood Ill, & married Lydia C. SWEGER born in Perry Co., Pa. They had 6 children. Both passed in Kirkwood. Lydia C. SWEGER (1851-1936) b.in Perry Co, Pa. was 1 of 3 girls b. to Samuel SWEGER (1824-1906) & Elenora N. BRADLEY (1820-1859) both b. in Perry Co. Both passed in Ill. George W. FORT(1806-1887) & Elizabeth McCHESNEY (1806-1883)families both b. in Warren Co, KY areas migrated to Henderson Co. Ill in the mid-1800s. G.W. was the son of Frederick FORT (1773-1845)& Lucy MOORE(1778-1846). Elizabeth's parents were Samuel, born in Ireland, & her mother was born in Prussia.


Chauncey D. BAXTER (1860-1951)b.in Steuben Co NY, moved to Henry Co,IA. in 1875 with his mother & stepfather, married Iona V. BOWLING (1861-1923)in 1878, had 10 children & resided there til their passing. His father Ira BAXTER b.in Steuben Co, NY. Ira was married to Susan Degroat was b.1842 in Tioga Co, NY. Chauncey was Ira's & Susan's only son. Iona's father, Thomas C. BOWLING (1820-1887) b.in Scott Co, KY, migrated to Ind, married Mary SMITH (1822-1882), moving to Henry Co, IA abt 1855. After serving in the Civil War he lived the rest of his life in Henry/Des Moines Co. After his 1st wife, Mary SMITH passed away he married Surelda LARKIN in Burlington, IA. living there til their passing.

The WILLIAMSON line begins w/John (1815-abt 1880) b.in Monroe Co. Ohio married Tobitha D. DAVIS(1817-1905), relocated to Appanoose Co, IA. & had 17 children. John was buried in Appanoose Co before 1880 & Tobitha is buried in Lowell, Ia. Their son Wm. D. (1846-1939) b.in Monroe Co. was married to Sarah M MURRAY (1850-1941) in 1870 living in Lowell, IA. til death. They conceived 11 children. One daughter Clara Ella Williamson, (1874-1969) b. in Ft. Madison, Ia. married Harvey Shamblin, had 5 children. She passed away in Galesburg, Ill. Sarah M.MURRAY b. in Lowell, IA. to Jacob MURRAY (1820-1908)
b. in Del.), & Nancy PEDIGO(1823-1865). They had 6 children. Nancy PEDIGO was b. in KY. to James Pedigo & Nancy Grogan. After Nancy's passing Jacob married Arundia WILLIAMSON in 1868.

to share the info that I have.
