Johannes Baergeld at the age of 31 immigrated from Gross Sachsen Germany on June 25, 1751 on the ship: Murdoch which sailed from Rotterdam, Holland.

The ship master was Robert Hamilton. These 100 families arriving in N.S. from German were referred to as the "Foreign Protestants".

Johannes profession is recorded as Palatinate Farmer

When arriving in N.S. the Family names were written down as they sounded so Baergeld was recorded as Borgal. His surname can also be found later as spelt Bargelt, Bargeld.

In 1784, these various grants were consolidated into a formal Township Grant of 360 Acres. Land located on Fox Street

Land owned by Johannes Bargeld (as he spelt it) in 1754 - 1762 Registry was Steinfort's Division E-10; Zuberbuhlers Division G-9 (which equaled 360 acres of land) this land was located on Fox Street

Lot 9 was also owned by Johannes Bargeld until 1879 where is recorded to be owned by Morash Jr.

In 1864 - 1879 this land is listed as vacant
