Notes for Janet Garner Allen: Rodney and Janet met at Rice University. Janet had been engaged to a good friend of Rodney's, She and her fiance were returning from Galveston when they had a head-on collision. Her fiance was killed in this car accident, and Janet was also injured. Rodney inherited her fiance's other car and also became her boyfriend. He sold the car and kept the girl.
Rodney was manager of the Stauffer plant in Freeport from 1926 to 1942. He was transferred to New York, and Janet and Rodney lived in Bronxville for many years. He retired about 1967.
