Notes for Joseph * Clarke: I drove through Styal, which is a little south of Manchester, England, and north of Wilmslow. See picture of the little church (newer than this) and of the green field ("Penny Green"??). Someone who had lived there in Styal for 30 years (by 1999) had never heard of Penny Green. It may have been the name of a farm.
