The First Protestant Church Its History and Its People 1845-1955, From: p. 95, Church Organists Casper F. Blum, who was the church's first organist, was originally hired in January 1852 to accompany the hymn singing with a trumpet. He was paid 50 cents per Sunday. At the dedication of teh first organ in the church on Sunday, June 27, 1868, Blum agreed to play the organ for servies at a salary of $50 a year. Miss Ida Nolte was the second organist, assuming her duties in July 1882. Miss Nolte was the late Mrs. Peter Faust. Miss Emilie Seele, later known and loved as "Tante Emmy,", Mrs. Emmy Seele Faust, served as organist from September 1877 to December 1891.
