I am researching the descendants of ARVEL GOLDEN & ??? SCOTT. I have not, as yet, discovered the given name of my great grandmother. I am told my great grandfather, Arvel Golden and my great grandmother were married somewhere in Missouri. Supposedly she was a Cherokee Indian and possibly met my great grandfather, maybe Jewish, on the Trail of Tears. This has not been confirmed, but there is definately Indian blood running through our veins.My grandfather, Albert A. Golden, was born in Lebanon, Missouri in the 1800's. The story my father tells is that my grandfather and two of his brothers left home when my grandfather was about 16. The brothers became seperated and he made his way to Little River County, Arkansas. Here he met and married my grandmother, Nazi Bivins. Together they had 12 children: Richard, Lillian (who died at age four), William, Frank, Nettie, Gracie, Tom Ben, Robert (my Dad), Violet, Fronie, Dorothy, and Tommy.My grandmother died when my Dad was in his teens and my grandfather died before I was born. In the past few years I have become interested in geneology and have discovered every one who may have a link to share is gone....Through extensive research I have only recently discovered the surname, SCOTT, and have not been able to locate my great grandmother's given name. I know there are relatives out there somewhere and would appreciate any information anyone may have that would "tear down the brick wall I have run into". I will gladly share any and all information I have.
