| I am researching my mother's father's, Samuel Frazer Work, family line. My grandparents lived in Philadelphia, PA, until he was transferred to Roanoke,VA with the railroad. I believe he was a bookkeeper for the railroad. I know that Samuel's family are buried in the Pine Street Presbyterian Church cemetary in the Work family plot. Samuel was an organist and played for various churches in Philadelphia during the 1880's aand amybe the 1890's. He played the organ in various churches in Roanoke after he moved there. My grandparents married in Beverly, N.J., on June 8,1897. I have my grandmother's family tree, Jacque Bruyere. It was published in 1997 by Mary and Robert Burt, Gateway Press, Inc., Baltimore, MD. |
