| This is a beginning effort. I have been at this since January 2000, my Mellenium project, and have barely scratched the surface. The branch of our family that I am initially researching, Lars & Margeurite Westlin and thier first son William George, moved to Walcott, North Dakota from Sweden in 1880. There they had three more sons Gust, Emil, and Alfred, and one daughter Lydia Agusta. From there they moved to Calmar, Alberta, Canada in September 1900. I am also researching the family of John Frederickson who was born between 1859 & 1861 near the Gulf of Finland. He travelled to the US to find land and returned to Finland to marry Karolina Ost who was born on an island near the Gulf of Finland. They returned to the US and homesteaded near De Lamere, North Dakota for 12 years, before moving to Calmar, Alberta, Canada in February 1898. In North Dakota they had six children Teckla, Lydia, Edith, Johnnie, Emma, and Annie. Annie A. Frederickson married William George Westlin on November 13, 1905. |
