The CLEARY family history research on this website originated in the Southwestern part of County Wexford, Ireland, in the area known as the Hook Peninsula, and includes placenames such as Templetown, Harrylock, Ramsgrange, Booley, etc., etc., and includes (among others), the surnames of CLEARY (dating back to 1825), KELLY (dating back to 1780). The BUCKLEY family history also originates from County Wexford, Ireland, but from the area around Enniscorthy, and includes such placenames as Clonroche, Caim, Courtnacuddy, Cloheadon, etc., etc.,and dates back to 1814. There was another CLEARY family living in the Hook Peninsula area at the same time, (in Hookless), but so far we have not been able to find a direct connection that would link these two CLEARY families, but it is quite possible that they may well be related to each other.
There are almost 3000 individual names in the family history file, including genealogy details on the POLIDORO family (originally from Castelvenere, Italy), the FIELDS family (from Scranton, Pennsylvania), and the MOSLEY family (from Dover, Delaware). Any family member is certainly encouraged to send me details, or facts, that pertain to their families, or to correct any errors or omissions, and I will be happy to revise their family history file.
Originally, we had uploaded to this web site, personal details on each individual (name, birthdate, wedding date, date of death, names of children, etc., etc.). The web site had numerous family trees, genealogy reports, and other items of interest, pertaining to the family history. However, it became evident that this kind of information is susceptible to abuse by certain people (with a resultant identity theft issue). Unfortunately, this web site software program does not have (as yet), a password protected access safeguard. Which means that anyone having the ability to connect to the Internet would be able to review the datails contained on this site. Therefore, it was felt that the more prudent course of action would be to not have this type of information available to anyone who might have access to the Internet. We therefore deleted all the reports and personal data that was on the web site (although my data base is still intact on my laptop's hard drive), and if you would like to see any of the reports, family trees, etc., etc., please contact me (see above), and I will be more than happy to send you everything you want.
Ayone who thinks that they may be related to the family, is welcome to contact me, and we'll be happy to look into the matter to see if that is the case or not.
