| FROM GOLDENLION TO CLEMMENSEN 1600-Present----------------------------- Welcome to the Clemmensen Home Page. This home page is for the exchange of information and building of the Clemmensen family tree. I am going to tranfer this info to a website called Clemmensen.us under construction. My current goal is to link our Gyldenlove (Golden Lion) line all the way back to the starting point of King Christian V Oldenburg born 4-25-1646. His children by someone named Sofie Amalie Moth were given the Gyldenlove name as a last name. She had six children with the king, some while the king was also having children with the "Queen" his wife Charlotte Amalie("Princess of HESSE CASSEL"). This all accured in the 1670's. While the children of the wife were recognized either as a prince or princess (Friedrich IV even when on to be King), the other children with the Gyldenlove name, out of wedlock and recognition, have been hard to track from there but I'm working on it. Just to clarify, this is the Frank Gyldenlove Clemmensen line who was born 11-11-1886 and came from Randers Denmark in November of 1907 to reside in Glenside PA. His Mother was Karen Marie Sorensen born 3-10-1864. Her father was Frands Gyldenlove Sorensen born 2-3-1835. His father I believe was Soren Gyldenlove Simonsen of which I have no birth info but believe he died 3-10-1860. His father- Simon Pedersen born 1752 and his father Peder ? and that's as far as I could go back. If Peder ? was born the first half of 1700 and the Gyldenlove chilren were born from july 1672 till late 1600's then means we are very near the tie in all the way back. This is the VERY early version and should be considered a work in progress. If you see something on a page that is highlighted, a different color or underlined - try clicking on it for more information or action. For example my e-mail address on top right of this page and after you click on a link at the bottom of this page, there may be a number or such highlighted to continue to the next generation etc. For now I'm trying to place as much information into blank spaces even if it's not totally correct, it will tend to expand the tree quickly which can be refined and corrected later. Please forward any help you can. I mainly need names (including middle) and birthdates soon as possible and other information, corrections and wisecracks when you get a chance to Captkarl@comcast.Thank You. Karl Clemmensen |
