My Clermont roots descend in Québec to the 1600s, but my Healy roots were transplanted to the USA from Ireland in 1910. My paternal grandfather, Albert Clermont, was the son of Joseph-Isodore Clermont and Marie Antoinette Girard, living in Montréal but of Trois-Rivières origins. In 1905 in New York City Albert married a descendant of German immigrants, Christina Weltz, who was the daughter of Louis Weltz and Minnie Vogel. My maternal grandparents, Thomas Healy and Mary Hayes, immigrated to New York City from County Clare, Ireland, and married in New York City in 1911. I would love to share information with any relative, and I have lots! |
