| I am searching several family names on both my side and my husbands side. I know that on my husbands side the Sweeneys were from West Virginia. The Clements' are from somewhere around the Blue Ridge area. On my side the Wilsons, gitchels, Gipe, and the Blairs are from areas such as Iowa, Missouri, and the Midwestern states.On my fathers side of the family there is said to be Italian and Sicilian as well as Cherokee Indian. The surnames that are on that side of the family are as follows: Butler, Farrington, Gault. These are only the ones I am familiar with. Would like to have more information on the following surnames,Bigbee, Blair, Gipe, Gitchel, Clements, Sweeney, Taylor, Allen. Any information that I receive would be greatly appreciated. I would also be more than happy to share what information I have. I come from a moderate family. Many of the parents had a few children, ususally not more than 2 or 3. On my husbands side the family is very large extended family with several children from the parents. Sometimes as many as 12 or more. Thank You! |
