Elizabeth Crowell (daughter of Peter Crowell and Mary Fraley) was born April 10, 1804 in North Carolina, and died April 17, 1891 in Lewis Co., Tennessee. She married Jacob Fite on March 1823 in Bedford Co., Tennessee (by M. Fisher, esq.), son of Peter Fite, Jr. and Barbara Hellinger.

Elizabeth received 80 acres bounty land for her husband's service in the War of 1812. (Widows Pension Acts of 1855). On March 9, 1878 under the Widow's Pension Acts of 1878 she received a monthly pension of $8.00. She lived in Newbury, TN at that time.
