I am researching the following families: SANSOM of Portland, Dorset.My research dates back to England mid 1600's.My branch emigrated to New Zealand 1860's to 1873. Book published 1985, reprint due 2006/7. Surname is French. Phillipe and Henri SANSOM were the executioners of Marie Antoinette and King Louis 16th during the French Revolution. A family reunion may be held in New Zealand early in 2007 if there is enough interest. LEASK of Aglath, Stenness, Orkney, Scotland. Back to 900 AD. I am directly descended from Robert the Bruce and King James V of Scotland who was the last Catholic King of Scotland at the time of Henry the VIII. I am also the Clan Representative for the Clan Leask Society of New Zealand. JENSEN, LORENZEN, CARSTENSEN - Wyk auf Fohr,Schleswig Holstein and List on Sylt, Schleswig Holstein. Family considered themselves Danish.Research dates back to mid 1700's. A family reunion to celebrate the 100th Wedding Anniversary of Rosa Hannah LEASK and John HARRISON was held in June 2002. BOWMAN, HOUSTON,JACK, REID AND HARVEY are my mother's side of the family and I have only just begun research lately on these families. The Bowman and Houston families came from Ireland and Scotland. The Jack, Reid and Harvey families were Scottish. CLEARY was my husband's family and they came from Letterkenny, County Donegal, Ireland. Family still live there. I welcome contact with all connections worldwide and am eager to receive information as I am to give it. I would welcome queries expresions of interest in purchasing any of my publications or future publications. I wish to get as much of the above family trees up to date as possible. One of my aims is to produce a pictorial family tree. |
