I know the Stevenson's and the Duncan's came from the Tellico Plains region of east Tennessee. The farthest back I have any information is Jim Stevenson who moved to North Carolina in the 1800's. The Duncan's were supposed to have moved with the Stevenson's to the mountains after Jim was run out of Tennessee because he was seeing a married woman. Also, on the Cline and Woods side, I'd like to have any information about the Woods. They were supposed to be from Clay County, NC and Lovinia Smith married a Woods. I can't seem to find any Edwards who lived in the mountains. My husband's Great grandmother was an Edwards but I can't seem to find her family. I thought I had some information from Haywood County but I can't find it now. As for the Buchanan's I can find a lot of information but I would like to tie all the travel together to form a lifestory for my family history. |
