The David S. Cliftons of Valley View, Texas

I am currently most interested in establishing a link between my ggggg-father, William W. Clifton and his immediate predecessor. Wm W. Clifton was first documented in 1823 in Bourbon County, Ky where he married Margaret Wilbarger, the dau of Jhn Wilbarger. Both families displaced to Pike County, Mo in about 1825. Wm W and Margaret moved to the northeast corner of Mo where Wm apparently died. Margaret died shortly thereafter. They had 4 (or maybe 5) children, Josiah, Wm, Elizabeth, Mary, and a sibling who may have died very young. My other primary family research names are:
