My g-grandmother Charlotte Ann O'Neal b. 6-18-1851 Ocracoke, NC d. 1-11-1947 Ocracoke, NC daughter of Christopher T. O'Neal, Jr and Nancy O'Neal. m. Howard F.O'Neal b. 9-10-1840 d. 1-7-1923, on 8-7-1873. He was the son of Simon O'Neal and Sarah Jackson on 9-7-1873. Children Sarah Ellen, Matta, Emelis, Richard. Charlotte was a midwife for the Islands of Ocracoke and Portsmouth. She delivered over 500 babies, the first being on Portsmouth Island, the last a set of twins on Ocracoke Island.
