Gaylen Clore:Germanna to here

I am just starting to research my family history. Fortunately there appears to be plenty of work alredy done in this area, and the generations following the arrival of Michael Clore (Klaar,Klar,Klor)in 1717 seem to have been pretty well documented by folks who are way ahead of me.

My interest began with the aquisition of a copy of a manuscipt of "The Clore Family History" written by Mrs. Paul L. Clore of Burlington,KY. It is a pretty extensive piece of work, with an index of several hundred people, and some very interesting anecdotal history of early generations. A copy is appearntly available at the Boone County Public Library in Florence,KY. This work, along with others I have found, read like an outline for a historical novel or documentary film. Perhaps some individual, or group, might find that a viable project some day. As for me, I take a great deal of satisfaction and pride in being a member of a family that has contributed extensively to the growth and foundation of our nation.
