I am decended from Felix Gladfelter, who settled in old Rowan County down thru Jesse Philip Clodfelter Sr, who was my grandfather. I have most of all the names and places of my family and will share any info. Presently, I am trying to verify some Civil War stories. It seems that two brothers from Davidson Co. fought for the 10th Virginia Calvary named John and Joseph Clodfelter. One died at Appomattox Courthouse and one returned home. My greatgrandfather
Phillip had two brothers with those names and the ages were right, but I want to be sure. Any info on this will be greatly appreciated.
I am also researching my wife's family Bowers. I can't seem to link them to the Bower's from Davidson Co. Hers were in Randolph Co around 1820 thru the present. Her line includes Kennedys, Adams, Wilsons, Morgans, and Swaims.
