Sarah Elizabeth Barnes was born Jan 23, 1900 in Near Beaver Crossing, Nebraska, and died Dec 11, 1964 in Seward County, Nebraska. She married Walter Clifton Cain on Feb 25, 1946 in Belleville, Kansas, son of James Martin Cain and Rebecca Jane Cain.
Notes for Sarah Elizabeth Barnes: Sarah Elizabeth Cain, daughter of Roger and Elizabeth Barnes, was born near Beaver Crossing, January 23, 1900, and died December 11, 1964 at the Seward Memorial Hospital, at the age of 64 years, 10 months and 18 days. Elizabeth had lived all of her life in the Beaver Crossing vicinity and nearby. She was a member of the Christian Church. She married Walter Cain in 1946. He died two years later. She is survived by a brother Wm. R. Barnes, Greeley, Colo.; a nephew, Dean Barnes, Pasco, Wash., who was reared by her parents; a sister-in-law, Mrs. C.H. Barnes, Columbus; nieces and nephews. Elizabeth made her home in Beaver Crossing until her health made it necessary to go to the Eppert Home in Utica for several years. Services were held December 15, at the Christian Church, Beaver Crossing, at 2 p.m., with Rev. C.J. Patrick in charge. Interment was in the Beaver Crossing cemetery. Casket bearers were Jacob Oswald, Grant Hansen, Jacob Zimmer, Rene Huffman, Herman Geis and Fred Geis.
