* Laban Norton Matteson and Descendents*

Updated April 19, 2012

This research was done by Orial Jane Matteson Mahaffey in 1924. The data was put on the computer by her granddaughtersL Pauline Joy Biggs and RBeda Biggs Coffey. Orial Jane Matteson began family history research in 1924. She worked on the following lines:

Mahaffey, Moody, Redd, Painter, Goddard, Fletcher, Matteson, Daniels, Adams, Brooks, Talcott and many others.

Two of Laban and Clarissa's sons served in the Cival War from Stamford, Vermont: Oscar and Albert. Two daughters died young.
The four sons married and had children and moved west from Vermont to Illinois after the Cival War.

Three descendents of Laban's sons took the DNA tests. Representing Oscar Johnson Matteson was his descendent Warren Thomas Matteson of Florida. Representing Albert Norton Matteson was his descendent Albert Brooks Matteson of Arkansas. Representing Andrew Laban Matteson was his descendent Bruce Matteson of Oklahoma.

I am grateful to all three of them for doing this to help in the research for Laban Norton Matteson's parents.

Other lines researched by members of my family are: Biggs, Thompson, Smith, Peck, Wilson, Baker, Coffey, McDowell, Batts,
McCatherine, Breig, Seagren, Mahaffey, Moody. Many pictures in every line.
